Maya's Passion Project: Newborn Care Kits for Labored Moms
I am deeply committed to supporting new mothers through my project, "Newborn Care Kits for Labored Moms." After dedicating 240 hours to working in the Roswell Park Cancer Research Lab, I have decided to use the money earned from this experience to fund the creation and distribution of these essential care packages.
Each care kit will include: Diapers, Wipes, Water bottle, Baby blanket, Baby Washcloth, Vaseline, Baby Wash, and a Healthy Snack for lactating mothers
Working at the Roswell Cancer Research Lab has not only given me invaluable research experience but also the means to give back to the community. By creating these care kits, I aim to provide a bit of comfort and support to mothers as they navigate the challenges and joys of welcoming a new baby. This project is a way to show that we care and are here to help them during this special time in their lives. Join me in making a difference for new mothers and their newborns.

Power of Poetry with Maya Sharma
Poetry is an amazing way to express emotions and experiences beyond ordinary words.
In my "Power of Poetry" workshop, I want to help young students discover the beauty and depth of poetry. We'll explore literary devices like metaphors, similes, and personifications to understand poems better and appreciate their nuances. I believe poetry enhances analytical skills and fosters a love for literature, encouraging creative expression.
